Two Towns - This painting is about place and family.Growing up in Armidale, New South Wales on Aniwain Nation and moving to Gunnai-Kurni Country, Victoria eventually settling in Wonthaggi, Kulin Nation, Victoria with my three children and pup Maggi the chihuahua our family kept growing 5 chilren, my husband and brother suddenly the family was 8 and furbaby Maggi.
We have today out lives are full of laughter and love.
The two concentric dotted circles are the two towns and the connections I have between them, family, friends and childhood memories. The archs are the children and my brother whom also came to live with me at 20yr, these six arches have kept me connected to place and that remind me of my life. The colours represent the beaches we have across the beautiful coast here in Gippsland.
